John Santore

JOHN SANTORE is Professor Emeritus of History at Pratt Institute in New York City and has taught at Rutgers University, Barnard College, and New York University. In 1981, he served as the Associate Director of the Columbia University Center for Italian Studies and was a Faculty Fellow in the Cornell University Western Societies Program in 1987.

The author of numerous articles and reviews, his essays have appeared in the Canadian Journal of History, The Germanic Review, The Journal of Modern History, Socialism and Democracy, History Teacher, and History: Review of New Books.

Professor Santore is also the editor of Modern European History, 1789 to the Present: Selected Syllabi from American Colleges and Universities, 2 volumes (1989). In 1993, John Santore was named Institute Professor/ Distinguished Teacher by the faculty at Pratt.
